“Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.” (Psalms 2:8 KJV)
One of the most powerful weapons of the people of God is the privilege of prayer.
Prayer: that moment that mortal men and women, and even children can speak to the immortal and infinite God. The moment when divinity has fellowship with humanity. Prayer is the previous moment when we pour out our hearts to the faithful and prayer-answering God.
Unfortunately, however, many of us don’t utilize this sacred moment well. Some don’t pray at all and others hardly pray about the things that matter. I can only imagine how the world would have had more answers and solutions to our problems if only just about one out ten people alive today took the moment of prayer seriously.
The Psalms teach and exhorts us on what is one of the most important things to pray about. The Lord himself exhorts that instead of asking for shoes and clothes and petty things, we should rather ask for the nations. Our voices ought to resound in Heaven asking for the nations instead of asking for shoes and clothes and mobile phones. God is willing to turn over the nations of the world into our hands.
Today would make the beginning of our victory in winning the world if only we learn to pray the right kind of prayers. The nations would come running to us; if somebody can start praying we would possess the nations.
What shall we do then? We shall ask for the nations. We shall lift up our voices and our hearts and plead for the nations. Evil shall not rule anymore. God will show up and give us the nations. In the next 20 months, we shall ask and possess the nations. The Lord will open the doors to cities and nations around us. There shall be an influx of workmen. The number of labourers in the HighCity Church shall increase. The Lord will multiply us. As our prayers ascend to Heaven the mighty and enabling hand of God shall be released.
As you step out today, May the Lord give you the nations. You shall never be alone. Nations you don’t know shall gather to your rising. You will increase and become a great nation. May the Lord bless and change your life forever.
Ooh God! We ask for the nations. May they gather carrying silver and gold to advance the kingdom. May you be empowered to possess the nations to the uttermost parts of the world. Don’t ask for silver or gold or comfort, ask for the nations. God will give us the nations. We will possess the nations and preach the gospel everywhere we go.
From today as you engage in prayer, you will ask for the nations and God will give it to us. Every city we venture into shall be opened unto us. Many of you reading this shall soon be in command. You will rule nations round about you. May the Lord grant that we shall be ready to rule. It is time to ask for the nations.
