“For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” (1 Corinthians 16:9 KJV)
There are times when you see a great and effective door set before you but many adversaries may arise to oppose you. The door to your breakthrough, greatness, and success may be wide open but with many adversaries. In this season, it is time to arise and deal with every barrier between you and your destiny.
We are marching forward and nothing will keep us back. We will advance and settle where God has prepared for us. He will give us rest and all the nations shall testify that the Lord has been good to us. We will never make excuses for trusting God. God will be our defense and our helper.
I speak to every barrier standing between you and your destiny to fall now! May the Lord give you speed! May Heaven respond to help you!
The story of Nehemiah teaches us four simple steps to deal with all barriers standing between you and your destiny even before you begin the journey itself. “And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,” (Nehemiah 1:4 KJV)
1. Discern right:
Many are listening; many only hear and see but only a few discern. It is one thing to see and hear and it is another thing altogether to discern right. Pray for discernment.
2. Sit down first:
Many of us are too hasty, slow down; sit down; cool down; think soberly before taking any action. Many of us fail to break barriers and take limits off because we act at the spur of the moment. Any serious tower builder first sits down, thinks through the project, and counts the cost. “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?” (Luke 14:28 KJV)
3. Fast and pray:
The real breakthrough begins when you begin to pray. Praying and fasting are the spiritual bulldozers to uproot even the impossible. Fasting and prayer is not the last resort but the first and last resort. Nothing can beat fasting and praying and waiting on God.
4. Fulfill all righteousness:
Glory to God when our obedience is complete, then we can punish all disobedience. “And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” (2 Corinthians 10:6 KJV). The devil always seeks for an occasion to accuse us but we can win over every barrier when we fulfill all righteousness. Our Lord Jesus Christ told the disciples that “the prince of this world is coming but he nothing in me.” (John 14:30) When the devil has nothing in you, you will be bold to challenge him.
I pray that in this season, we will engage these keys to deal with every barrier. These are the keys that helped great men of the Bible to break every barrier to achieve great feats, as in the days of Nehemiah. (See Nehemiah 1)
