The secret to change and progress is constantly changing how you speak, understand, and think.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. (10) But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. (11) When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things (12) For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. (13) And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity (1 Corinthians 13:9-13 KJV)
Life is dynamic and times are constantly changing; you will blossom and change if you willfully put away childish things and embrace higher things.
We must admit that we all know in part and prophesy in part. We don’t know everything; that is why when you stop learning you stop living. Your life ends the day you stop learning.
Apostle Paul teaches that we know and prophesy in part; so when the perfect comes, we must decide to put away childish things.
Your new exposure must affect;
- How you speak
- How you understand
- How you think
The three things that affect your life are your mouth, heart, and mind. The quality of what you say, how you understand, and how you think will determine the quality of your life.
He that loves life and will see good days, must refrain his tongue from speaking guile (1 Peter 3:10-11)
But remember the mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart (Luke 6:45)
As a man thinks in his heart so is he (Proverb 23:7)
As a man thinks in his heart so is he:
You cannot change your life until you change what you think and how you think. The way you think controls the way you are; you must, therefore, strive to change the way you think. Don’t conform to the pattern of the world but be ye transformed by the renewing of the mind.
More so, understanding is a spiritual thing. Knowing is not the same as understanding. Until God opens your understanding, your heart will grow darker and darker. May God open your understanding and may you bridle your tongue in Jesus’s name!
