[Hebrews 11:24-26 KJV] “By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward”.
The Bible tells us not to love the world nor anything in it; indeed, the love of the world is enmity with God. As a minister and pastor, I have seen many people destroy their lives and beautiful destinies all because they treasured the things that the world treasures. The Bible tells us that Moses when he was of age showed very clearly that he treasured the heritage of the people of God far above treasures of Egypt.
Our brother Moses made certain important decisions that we can learn from;
- He refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.
- He chose to suffer affliction with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.
- He esteemed the reproach of Christ as a far greater riches than the treasures of Egypt.
I can say without a shadow of doubt that the very day you refuse to identify with and treasure what the world treasures, you will have dominion. Many of us lose and fail because we love what the world loves and treasure what the world treasures. The world rules in our hearts instead of GOD because we have the world in our hearts, rather than having God in our hearts.
Many of God’s children miss it because they treasure titles, surnames, addresses, and even social status. Many have missed God because they treasured an address in America rather than at Asamankese in Ghana. I pray that you will love God with all of your heart and with all that you are. Many young believers have married the wrong men because of surnames, titles and net salary.
I speak over your life today to set your love on God. Set your love on the unchanging God. You will do well if you set your love on God.
Stay blessed; I love you!
