I have learnt that when it comes to product marketing and sales, nothing works better than a satisfied customer.

Most of us would purchase and use a product if our family or friends recommends it. We may not entertain the intrusion of a total stranger but we would give our friends and family full attention.

This is not different when it comes to preaching the gospel of the kingdom. The general populace is more open to receive their familiar friends and family than total strangers who knock on their doors

The whole city of Samaria came out to hear a Jew because one of their own invited them to come and listen, after she had an encounter herself. We can reach the unreached community if every one of us would have a genuine encounter with the power and wisdom of God, and then as a result tell the story of our encounter to the people in our sphere of influence.

Today, may the story of the woman of Samaria at the well inspire you to seek a genuine encounter with Christ; and to tell that story to you.

Prayer

Dear Father, I desire to have an undeniable encounter with You this week. Show Yourself to me! Touch me with Your hand! Speak to my spirit and let me see the glorious light in the gospel! Thank You Lord, in Jesus name!

Thoughts

To tell your story effectively, follow these simple steps;

1. Identify yourself
2. Tell us what your condition used to be
3. Tell us what you did to have that encounter, and
4. The results or change you have now.

Here is an example:

My name is Noah Simpe. I was lost and given to all manner of vices. I was bound and could not help myself.  One day a friend gave me a book to read. As I read the book my understanding was enlightened, and all of a sudden I want to know God more personally. I joined the Christian community and I say to the glory of God that my life has transformed. Today I am a fiery faith preacher and serves as the Senior Pastor of the HighCity Church. “If the son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36)
