Fear is false evidences appearing real. It is one and the deadliest weapons of darkness. It is one of Satan’s most deadly weapons against children of God. In fact, fear is an evidence of unbelief, mistrust and doubt. The opposite of faith is fear. Whenever you are afraid check for doubt and unbelief.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV)
When there is trust and faith, fear leaves. Fear is a thief and a debilitating disease. Fear incapacitates. Fear makes you timid. Fear brings confusion. Fear makes you weak. Fear drives out love. Fear brings insanity, cloudy thinking and confusion.
The Bible tells us that fear is a spirit, and that God has not given us the spirit of fear. God the Father has given us three spirits;
- The spirit of power
- The spirit of love
- The spirit of a sound mind
Fear drives out power, love, and soundness of mind. Fear is a spirit and we must endeavour to drive it out of our lives. God has not given us the spirit of fear.
Many years ago Apostle Peter began to walk on the water because the Lord told him come but he began to sink because he feared when he saw the storm. Peter did not sink because of the storm but because he feared.
Fear will steal the wind from your sail. Fear will limit you. Fear will drain you of strength. Just trust, believe and keep moving.
If you allow the spirit of fear to take root in your life, you have allowed defeat, depression, weakness, inferiority complex and hate into your life.
In fact, fear will take many people to the Lake of Fire. Revelations 21:8 tells us “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death”
Today, you must deal with the spirit of fear; the spirit of boldness will come upon you. You will be courageous and strong. That is God’s commandment to us. He commanded Joshua and said “be strong and courageous”. It is His commandment to us. Remember that the cure for fear is faith, trust and closure. The decision to bring closure to a case. To decide to stay and stick.
I rebuke fear out of your life now. I speak over your life that anything that stirs up fear be uprooted now. May the rest of God that comes through faith rest upon you now! Be strong and stay blessed.
