What you are going through does not have the power to drown you.
I once met a fellow who said “Pastor Simpe, you have no idea what I am going through.” I was quick to retort “Simpe may not have an idea what you are going through but what you are going through is no different from what others have been through.”
What challenges are you going through?
What have you been through? Nothing but such as is common to men and neccessary to prepare you for the next level. What you are going through is such as is common to men. It is exactly what all men go through and are confronted with. Never allow your temptation and pressure to drown you. Lift up your head and press on and you will come out.
[1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV] “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it”.
Why should you go through challenges?
You can in no way be prepared for the next level other than to face what you are facing. The divers things you are faced with and endure, prepare you for the next level.
[1 Peter 1:7 KJV] “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:”
It is not a strange thing at all to face trials and temptations. You will be prepared for greater grace and glory.
[1 Peter 4:12 KJV] “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:”
How should you face challenges?
The popular question is what do I do when I go through fiery trials? How do I face my motions? What do I do when I am down to nothing?
- Face it loving God
- Find and live by the purpose of God
Indeed, all things work together for good to those who love the Lord are called according to purpose. His spirit is interceding for us; He has predestined us to conform to the image of His dear Son; He has predestined us to glory.
[Romans 8:27-30 KJV] “And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified”.
Do not let what you face and go through make you lose your love or your sense of purpose. All things will work together for your good because you love God and are called according to His purpose.
Stay blessed; I love you.
