Jesus is coming again! Live your life ready! Because it is better to live ready than to get ready. It better to be ready than to get ready.
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. (2) For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. (3) For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (4) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. (5) Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. (6) Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. (7) For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:1-7 KJV)
Live your life ready! For Jesus Christ is coming again; and the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night; you don’t know when he will come. Live your life ready! The day of the Lord should not overtake any one of us as a thief.
Jesus Christ is coming again; he is coming swiftly. But of the day and time, we don’t know. In fact, you should not even try to know because that day comes as a thief in the night. No man knows the hour or time that the Lord shall appear. The day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night. But we are child of light and that day must not come upon as a surprise because we will live our lives ready.
Jesus is coming again! Wake up! Jesus is coming! Be ready! Don’t sleep! Don’t slumber! While they promise peace, the day shall come suddenly. It shall be a day of gloom and sadness for many because they are not living their lives ready.
Are you ready when the trumpet shall sound? Will the Lord find us ready? Get up; get ready!
Lift up your eyes see Jesus Christ is coming and coming quickly. Let’s be ready because things will happen so fast that you cannot get ready if you are not ready.
1 Thessalonians 5 teaches us how to be ready.
1. Be sober and put on faith, love, and the hope of salvation:
1 Thessalonians 5:8 teaches us to be sober; to think clearly, think as one who is not drunk, control our thoughts, not cast off inhibitions. Some of us think crazy thoughts. We just allow our minds to wander away and veer off into the domain of darkness and evil realms. The apostle exhorts us to put on faith and love as a breastplate and hope of salvation as a helmet. Let the hope of salvation cloud your mind and thinking. That is the safest way to live and protect your thinking.
2. Comfort and edify one another:
We have a responsibility towards one another to comfort and edify. Strengthen each other. If you see your brother or sister falling by the way; you have to stop and say you are in the wrong way. Please follow up each other and strengthen each other. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
3. Know and esteem your pastors and church workers highly in love:
Know and esteem those who labor among you and are over you and admonish you very highly in love. Instead of despising and abusing those who admonish you and labor among you, rather esteem them. If you forget those who labor among you and watch over you and admonish you, you will be lost in this evil age of multiplicity of churches and religion. Read this! we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake.
4. Be at peace among yourselves:
Don’t allow the roots of bitterness spring up among you and defile many. Forgive quickly and move on. The bible tells us “be at peace among yourselves” (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13)
5. Warn those who are out of order or control:
Sometimes some brethren get out of order or control. They behave in an uncivilized manner. They get uncontrollable. Warn such brethren. Warn brethren who get out of control and begin to live anyhow. Warn them that Jesus Christ is coming soon. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly (1 Thessalonians 5:14)
6. Comfort the feeble-minded:
Hmmm! Some are not strong in their minds. They easily get discouraged; so be there to comfort them. (1 Thessalonians 5:14)
7. Support the weak:
Some are weak, support them. No matter how hard we try some cannot make ends meet, support them. Sometimes a little kindness can save a sister or brother from a mess. (1 Thessalonians 5:14)
8. Be patient towards all men:
Some people are really offensive but be patient towards all men. Make room for their mistakes. (1 Thessalonians 5:14)
9. Follow that which is good:
Whether we are among the brethren or unbelievers; follow that which is good. Don’t render evil for evil. The apostle exhorts us to See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men (1 Thessalonians 5:15)
10. Rejoice always:
Rejoice always and increase your joy. Increase in joy and in singing and dancing and celebration. (1 Thessalonians 5:16)
11. Pray without ceasing:
Pray always because God is sovereign. Pray! Whether you see change or not. Pray! Because God works in his own time and terms. Let him know that you depend on him. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
12. In everything, give thanks:
Things might not always go the way you want it. Things might not turn out the way you expect, but in all things give thanks. In good and in bad, give thanks. In darkness and in light, give thanks. No retreat; no surrender. In everything give thanks. Glory! In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
13. Quench not the Spirit:
Keep the fire burning! That is how you stay alert. Let us be fervent in spirit. (1 Thessalonians 5:19)
14. Despise not prophesying:
As i speak to you, don’t despise it. Those who despise prophesying perish without further warning. We cannot force you; we can only speak to you. Don’t despise our prophecies. “Despise not prophesyings” (1 Thessalonians 5:20)
15. Abstain from all appearances of evil:
You will have to make countless decisions everyday as you wait for the Lord’s second coming; prove all things and hold fast to that which is good. prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22)
I am persuaded that you shall be ready when the Lord shall come.
Stay strong; stay blessed
I love you!

Lord I pray for the grace and strength to live ready and not get ready for the coming of Jesus Christ.
God bless you Bishop.
There is no truer admonition than this. I have to do all I can to be ready at all times for the coming of Christ.. Things will happen so fast that I wouldn’t have the time to make things right.
I receive grace and mercy to be ready at all times for Christ’s coming.
God bless you for such a powerful exortation papa. I will live ready other than getting ready in order to make it in Christ’s second coming.
