As I meditated on the words of the first part of this scripture; my conscience was stirred up to understand that there is a way spiritual things may be transferred and deposited in one’s life.
(1 Corinthians 9:11 KJV) “If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?”
Your pastor can sow spiritual things into your life, and very often we do. In much that same way demonic spiritual things can be deposited in your life.
Teaching and preaching
One way spiritual things can be sown into your life is by the teaching and preaching of God’s word. Whenever the word of God is being taught or preached, spiritual virtues are transferred into the lives of the hearers. Never underestimate the power of teaching and preaching of the Word. Whenever you give your attention to a preacher, he or she transfers spiritual things into your life.
Singing and Music
The second channel of transference is singing, and music. When you stay in any atmosphere of music, there is a spiritual transfer into your life. That is why those who listen to a lot of christian music become spiritual. Remember when evil power used to trouble King Saul, they recommended or prescribed that a player plays the harp. The servants recommended music. They prescribed a musician who can play the harp and God’s music.
What you watch:
You are changed into the same glory of the image you see. When you watch pornography and ungodly movies it affects your sexuality and lust fills your heart. Be careful about what you watch and spend time with. Secular and ungodly movies have a way of affecting your thinking and understanding.
Laying on of hands
By the mystery of laying on of hands, spiritual virtues are transferred into your life.
These are four basic ways of receiving spiritual virtue deposited in your life. May the Lord help us to be awake to the reality of spiritual transfer. Whenever we gather in the church it’s important to be aware that spiritual virtues are being transferred through the singing, preaching, watching and touching.
Receive the transference of power into your life! You will not remain the same again. Receive the virtue and be blessed.
