1 Corinthians 4:1-3 KJV — Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. [2] Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. [3] But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
My few years of doing frontline apostolic ministry has taught me the importance of loyalty. I can say without doubt that but for disloyalty, we would have reached many cities for God. The effect of disloyalty is so high that we can’t allow it to fester without killing it. Let us discuss the reasons why loyalty is important:
1. It is the first requirement of stewardship:
It is a requirement and not just garnishing. It is the main thing; the most important quality to seek in a steward. Let people earn that place.
2. It will stop the devil from being able to attack the church from within:
When the enemy rose against the Lord in the last days of His earthly ministry; He was so bold that He would survive because the devil had nothing in Him. In John 14:30 KJV, the Lord said “Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.“
3. It will help us to build a large and effective ministry team:
Many of the ministry teams have not grown large and effective because of disloyalty. I pray that in the coming days the Lord will fill us with loyal spirits.
4. It will help us to build a Mega Church:
Acts 2:42-47 church reveals that when the congregants are loyal and continue steadfastly in prayer, fellowship, obedience, giving and serving with infectious gladness, the Lord will add to our number such as are being saved.
5. It will help us build a fellowship of mighty and wealthy owners of many industries, businesses, estates and true riches:
The Bible teaches in Luke 16:10-12 that He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. [11] If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
[12] And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?
6. It will save many from useless and untimely death:
Judas died prematurely because of disloyalty. I pray that God will find many worthy among us to be trusted with true riches.
7. It will help us to build a long lasting ministry:
We can’t bury all our sons and daughters. We cannot lose anyone to the devil. Your fruits will remain.
8. It will help us to reap the full rewards of our effort:
He that is faithful to the end shall receive the rewards.
9. It will help us to have a far reaching ministry:
Our Pastor can travel more and start new work in other places when we are loyal and faithful.
10. It will save us a lot of heartbreaks and heartaches:
It will build trust and inspire Pastor to do more. When you listen to preachers and pastors around the world, you know that many of them are bleeding and hurting. Most pastors are bleeding from the wounds and hurts of people they loved and trusted with things.
Today’s Prayer
Pray that the Lord will help you to stay loyal to the end. May you see the good hand of the Lord in operation and keep you from being unfaithful! May the Lord sustain His work in these end times in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen
