I want to exhort you on three things you must never lose if you want to sustain the gains you have made in life. This was the counsel the prophet gave Asa; the prophet taught Asa how he could preserve the gains he had made.
[2 Chronicles 15:1-4 KJV] “And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded: [2] And he went out to meet Asa and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. [3] Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. [4] But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.”
Many of us fail in life because after every little breakthrough we despise the people whose input brought us this far. The Prophet Azariah, the son of Oded exhorted Asa to do the following;
- Seek the true God
- Submit to the teaching priests
- Uphold the law
Israel suffered molestation from strange nations because they did not retain God in their life. Many of us become arrogant and proud when we began to enjoy some blessings. The truth, however, remains that we must honour and continue by to walk by the voice, lessons, and laws that brought us this far. If you rebel against the voice, lessons, and laws that brought you where you are, you will fail.
I pray for you that for all the days of your life you will allow the voice of your father, pastor, mentors, and authority figures to guide you. There should always an authority figure you are subject to. I pray that none of us will miss the way. You will be able to keep the voice, the lessons, and the law. May the Lord help you to keep faith and remain submitted.
I love you!
Pastor Simpe
I will continue to hear the voice of my pastor and submit and obey. In Jesus name. I shall learn my lessons. Hallelujah!
