[2] Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine. [3] Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee. [4] Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.
[5] I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. [6] Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother‘s children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept. [7] Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?”
1. Don’t find love until you are experiencing the king’s chamber;
Most young women fall for the wrong love because they have never tasted pure and princess care. Women with malfunctional fathers and malfunctional homes tend to fall for wrong men and allow abuse (Song of Solomon 1:1-3)
If God’s love is not satisfying to you, you are not ready to date, find love or even live life. Many women have made mistakes because they accepted a proposal to escape boredom.
2. Don’t let being different make you feel insecure:
You may be black and yet beautiful (Songs of Solomon 1:5). You may not be as fair as other women but your uniqueness is good. You may look different but you are not inferior.
3. Don’t let your past define you;
Admit your faults and establish the underlying cause (Songs of Solomon 1:6) The young woman understood that things were not like they used to be, she admitted that her past mistakes had changed things a bit. She admitted that her skin had been darkened because she did not pay attention to caring for herself.
4. Find out his name and where he keeps his flock and the things his tail draws:
Your Prince Charming must have a name, a career, and pay attention to the kind of girls that love him. Your love must have a name and that name must send a proper message to you.
We must walk in wisdom and use a lot of discretion. Every young woman must settle for nothing less than being treated as a princess. Stay blessed!
I love you;
