In this message, I share 4 principles of living that will help you to make it in life and into life eternal as well.
[Hebrews 9:27-28 KJV] “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation”
Remember, you were born, you’re living; you may die; and after your death, we shall all appear before the great white throne to be judged. Every one of us will give an account of how we lived to the One who gave us the opportunity to live.
We shall account for everything we thought, said and did in life. We shall account and defend every idle word that came out of our mouths. We will have to answer, therefore? be guided by the following principles of living;
1. Live Before you die!:
Many die without living. Ecclesiastes 9 teaches us how to live before we die:
- Be thankful for each day;
- Let your head not lack ointment;
- Let your garments be white and clean;
- Eat your bread with joy and drink your wine with a merry heart;
- Enjoy with the wife of your youth;
- Do what your hands have found with all of your might;
- But don’t forget to make money: This is what the scriptures teach. Make money because the wisdom of the poor is despised.
- Help others if you can;
2. While you live serve your generation:
Acts 13:35-36 teaches that David served his generation before he was gathered unto his fathers. I will encourage you to let your life count for something. Leave your mark in the earth. Leave your footprints in the sands of time.
Let others find light in your light. Be the reason why others are smiling! Serve and serve faithfully. Be the difference for others and you will die smiling.
3. Live everyday as if it is your last. Close your accounts daily:
Luke 12:16-21 teaches us how a fool lost his life. We have an appointment with death and none of us knows when our time shall be up.
When the time draws near, God may graciously reveal it to you, but many of us will die at a time we did not think. Be careful how you live then; no man’s secrets remain sealed when they die. Close your accounts daily.
Besides, two men shall lie on a bed, one will be taken the other shall be left; will you be ready when the “trumpet shall sound?” Would you be ready when death shall knock on your door?
4. Remember you brought nothing into this world and you shall take nothing out;
“Be content with such as you have; if you have what to wear and what to eat, be content! Your life does not consist of the abundance of things what you have”. I will recommend that you store your treasure above, where termites, thieves and rust cannot destroy!
5. Be born again!:
It will profit you nothing if you gain the whole world and lose your own soul. You would have gained nothing if you call many to the faith and you become a castaway yourself. You will perish in Hellfire, in the Lake of Fire, if your name is not found in the book of life.
You must be born again! You must receive Jesus into your life and heart! Make room for Jesus Christ! Let Him come into your life! Live your life in the faith. Make sure you have had a personal encounter with Jesus, have faith on Him, be connected with His body on earth (which is the church), continue steadfastly in the faith, and overcome to the end.
Stay blessed
