The simplest steps to the anointing are to;
- Believe the Lord
- Connect and follow the anointing
- Ask the Father to give you the Holy Spirit, and
- Fellowship and wait on the Spirit.
John 7:37-39 teaches that a river of living waters shall flow out of the belly of those who believe.
[John 7:37-39 KJV] “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. [38] He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. [39] (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given ; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)”
John 1:12 teaches that to them that believe Him, to them He gave the power to become the sons of God; even to them that believed on His name. We know that He that ministers the Spirit and works miracles does it by the hearing of faith. Faith is all you need to be anointed. You must believe on the Jesus Christ; you must take Him at His word.
[John 1:12 KJV] “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
The second step to the anointing is to connect with the anointing. Mark 3:13-15 teaches that the Lord called those He would and they came; then He ordained 12 to stay with Him that they may have power and that He might send them to preach the gospel.
[Mark 3:13-15 KJV] “And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him. [14] And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, [15] And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:”
Connecting with the anointing is a great secret to the anointing. You must connect either physically, by tapes, by videos, by books, etc. but connect anyway. Elisha became anointed because he connected and served Elijah. Joshua became anointed because he followed and served Moses. The 12 apostles became anointed because they connected with Jesus Christ.
Your connection to the anointing is so important for the sustenance of the anointing. The life of Samson teaches that when you disconnect, you wither. When his dreadlocks were cut off, he lost connection to the anointing and he began to wither until his hair (which symbolises his connection) grew again.
[Judges 16:16-17 KJV] “And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death; [17] That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother’s womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.”
Never disconnect from the anointing; stay connected and serve. Connecting, following and serving is a key secret to the anointing.
The third step to the anointing is desiring and asking. Luke 11:13 teaches that if sinful men know how to give good gifts to their sons who ask, then God will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. When we desire and ask for it He gives, and He will give it to us.
[Luke 11:13 KJV] “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”
Finally, only those who know the Holy Spirit can receive Him (John 14:16-20). You must have constant fellowship with the Holy Ghost if you want the anointing and to stay anointed, you must maintain constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
[John 14:16-20 KJV] “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. [18] I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. [19] Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. [20] At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you”.
Two books that attest to this truth are The Holy Spirit My Senior Partner by Dr Cho Yonggi, and Good Morning Holy Spirit by Pastor Benny Hinn. You must maintain sweet fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Our Lord Jesus Christ became anointed after waiting on the Holy Spirit for 40 days.
These are the four simple steps to the anointing that impact nations and generations.
Be blessed, I love you!
