We know that walking by faith is walking in obedience to God. Walking in obedience indeed has consequences but we must still obey and leave God to handle the consequences.
The horrible truth, however, is many people who attempted walking by faith were unable to finish the race. It is because many of them did not deal with the things that can fight and frustrate our walk of faith.
[Mark 4:2-9 KJV] “And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:”
“And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.”
“And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.”
“And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.”
“And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.”
“And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.”

The four things that can fight your decision to walk by faith are;
1. The birds of the air, representing demons and satanic spirits:
We understand that whenever the word of God proceeds out of His mouth to us; the birds of the air or demonic spirits try to steal that word out of our hearts, but they only succeed if we do not understand the word, and hence do not believe.
The devil cannot steal a word you believe. The devil can only steal a word you don’t understand.
2. The lack of root as a result of the lack of moisture:
The second thing that can fight your walk by faith is the lack of roots as a result of lack of moisture.
The truth is, until you gain roots in what you believe, the heat of the day with dry it up. It is good to rejoice at the word but it is better to hear and hear again.
“Paul planted and Apollos watered”; you know why? It is because the grounds of your heart must be softened to make the word implant itself in your heart.
Many people get frustrated when they try to walk by faith because they do not allow the word to sync in them. The deeper your roots, the further you travel and last under pressure.
3. The presence of thorns:
The third thing that fights your advancement in your walk of faith is the presence of thorns in your heart. These thorns are the lust for evil things, the cares of life, the deceitfulness of riches, and the pride of life.
Many people fall by the way because they lust after evil things; many more fall because they grow anxious and the cares of life cripple them. I pray that if you have decided to walk by faith, you will learn to pray, stay humble, not entrust in riches, nor lust after evil things.
4. The absence of a good and an honest heart :
Finally, remember that intellectual dishonesty and impatience will fight you. I pray that you will desire truth and wisdom. I pray that you will not pretend not to know. You know and you patiently work the word to yield fruits.
I do not doubt that you will make it in your walk by faith. It is too dangerous to walk by sight. You will walk by faith and not by sight.
Stay blessed, I love you!
