[Proverbs 23:23 NLT] “Get the truth and never sell it; also get wisdom, discipline, and good judgment.”
I want to exhort you on four things that will make a big difference in your life; hence you must strive to get at all cost. They are; Truth, Wisdom, Instruction, and Understanding. These four things make a great difference in living. You will never fail when you get and hold on to these four things. Those who get it make their fathers rejoice.
If you really want to live a good quality life;
1. Get truth!
Many people have erred in life because they did not buy in nor hold on to truth. I can say that the whole human race is failing because Eve rejected truth. The Bible tells us that those who do not love truth shall be decieved by all decieveableness. This is in the book of Thessalonians. The truth is one of the key things that will protect you against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. Dearly beloved, “buy truth, and sell it not!” Many have made a shipwreck of their faith because thy did not buy truth.
2. Buy wisdom!
Remember, “wisdom is the principal thing; in all your getting, get wisdom.” “Wisdom is profitable to direct.”
3. Submit to instruction!
You will excel when you learn to submit to instructions. Every one of us must have someone who can speak into our lives. There must be someone who can just ask you to stop or start something and you will heed. You don’t always have to look for dialogue and suggestions. There are times when you must receive instructions! Your life will be far better when you have both teachers and mentors who can instruct you. There must be someone who must and can instruct you and you heed.
4. Gain understanding!
It is good to know the truth, be wise and instructed; but it is best when you also undertand the issues. Understanding equips you to develop on what you already know and have been taught. Understanding guides your heart as you navigate through shades of grey. There are times when what you are dealing with is neither black nor white; it takes understanding to navigate through such waters.
I have no doubt in my mind that you will strive to get all these four and excel at what you do.
