I believe that God wants every man to succeed, and we all want to succeed too. Many of the times some spiritual forces hold us bound and keep us trapped in one place; these are the spirits of stagnation.
We will be touching on 4 key types of stagnation.
4 type of stagnation
1. Compassing the same mountain for a long time:
[Deuteronomy 2:1-3 KJV] “Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as the Lord spake unto me: and we compassed mount Seir many days. And the Lord spake unto me, saying, Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.”
2. Harvesting but never gathering enough because of the attacks of the Midianites that destroy your fruits and gains:
[Judges 6:1-7 KJV] “And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord : and the Lord delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years. And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.”
“And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them; And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.”
“For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.”
“And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the Lord . And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord because of the Midianites,”
3. Planting and labouring but not having enough because of devourers that attack the fruit of your ground, and your vine casting forth their young; abortion.
[Malachi 3:11 KJV] “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.,”
4. Gathering but never having enough because there are holes in your pocket:
[Haggai 1:3-9 KJV] “Then came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying, Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your ceiled houses, and this house lie waste? Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.”
“Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.”
“Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways. Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the Lord .”
“Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the Lord of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.”
How to deal with the spirit of stagnation
There are four simple tips to deal with stagnation:
1. You need a prophetic voice that directs you:
In the case of breaking camp to advance.
2. Repenting before the Lord:
Midian had access because Israel sinned.
3. Giving offerings and tithes:
Your tithes and offerings will move heaven to rebuke devourers.
4. Getting involved with the building of the house of God:
Let us continue to gather to pray, sing, study, give and volunteer
God bless you
