[1 John 5:14-15 KJV] “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.“
Praying is thinking aloud or speaking into the space with the firm believe that God can both hear and answer you. The Bible says that when we pray He hears and answers us. I have come to that place in life that I want to give myself to prayer. 5 of the top reasons I believe prayer-less-ness is a grave sign of pride is because even the God-head is in prayer. If even God prays, why should you not pray. The only person who does not pray because there is no one to pray to is the Father. The Holy Ghost (the very third person of the eternal God-head) prays to the Father; and the son (the second person of the Trinity) is also praying.
The spirit is making intercessions for us! Constant intercession; how can you not pray!
If the Holy Spirit must pray in heaven and on earth to get things done in the earth among men as the Father wills; how can you not pray? The Spirit is making intercessions with groaning to get things done on earth, how can you not pray?
“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” [Romans 8:26 KJV]
Even Jesus Christ, our resurrected Lord is making intercessions and pleading for us to get things done in the earth; how can you not pray?
Listen, the Father can do little in the earth, without the prayer of people like you. The will of God can be done in the earth, when we all pray and intercede. Your prayer gets things done in the earth, in your city, and in you family. Remember, that even Jesus Christ gets things done in the earth by the means of prayer. He is at the right hand of the father making intercessions for us!
“Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us”. (Romans 8:33-34 KJV)
In fact, the temple and the house of the Lord shall be unto all nations a house of prayer
The primary activity that God expects in His house is prayer. We don’t come to church to study the word per say. We have the bible and the Holy Ghost; but beyond the word, we come to His presence to pray.
“saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves”. (Luke 19:46 KJV)
Let us begin to make prayer a key component of our worship services and see what God will do. Prayer is the main deal that prepares us to relate and receive from God.
The fourth reason is that a true believer is a person who calls upon God out of a pure heart!
If you have faith, you will pray; and if you pray you will sustain your own faith. The agility of your prayer depends on the health of your prayer. The member of the bride calls upon God out of a pure heart. We are a people that call upon God!
“Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart”. (2 Timothy 2:22 KJV)
Prayer is one of the key ways to fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Through the force of prayer, we share in the supernatural ministry of both the Hoy Ghost and our Lord Jesus Christ!
This is the time and now is the season to arise and intercede and pray like never before! This is the time to call upon God out of a pure heart!
Stay blessed!
