[John 15:16 KJV] “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you”.
To make impact is to have a marked effect or influence over a thing or person. To make greater impact is to have a greater effect or influence on a generation and over a culture or society. You must leave your footprints in the sands of time. Don’t just pass through, have effect and influence on something or someone. Don’t just pass through life, leave your footprints.
Every one of us has been called to leave their footprints in the sands of time. We are called to shine as lights, to season as salts, to reach out as merchants looking for precious pearls, and to demolish, cut down, and destroy the works of darkness as battle axes and weapons of war in the hands of God. We are called as lights of the world, the salt of the earth, the ambassadors of Christ, and the battle-axe of the Lord.
You are called and graced for impact. The Lord wants you to affect others and effect change. The Lord has called us to make an impact in our life time. God wants us to make impact in governance, education, religion, arts and entertainment, science and technology, business and commerce, and in our families. God is expecting each of us to bear fruit and make impact.
So, from the life of Christ, we want to study 7 simple hints to making greater impact: be taught, be yielded, be baptised, be led, be proven, be deployed, and be connected.
1. Be taught:
Be taught because the lack of knowledge will destroy you. What you don’t know will keep you where you are.
2. Be yielded:
Many of us are not achieving much because we are too arrogant and too unbending to be able to make any impact. You must be humble, yielded and flowing. Don’t be too stiff if you are ever going to win in life. Be flexible and learn how to be yielded to authority, forerunners, the Holy Ghost, and the will of God. Our Lord made greater impact because He was totally yielded to the Father.
“He was led as sheep to the slaughter”. He was led off to die, yet He followed as a sheep. Jesus Christ was yielded and so should you be. Be yielded!
3. Be baptised:
The Scripture is so clear that by the arm of flesh shall no man prevail. The anointing is that divine mystery that transforms and empowers a man for supernatural exploits.
4. Be led:
The Bible tells us that “as many as are a led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”. Your leadability and coachability is key to making greater impact. Those who lead effectively have almost always followed well. You must be a person that can be led if you want to be helped. After our Lord Jesus Christ was baptised at the Jordan, He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. Our Lord was led, you must be led also.
5. Be seasoned:
Whether you agree or not, life will try you. You will face your own set of afflictions, you will be tried, tested and proven. In fact, you must be seasoned. Our Lord Jesus Christ was tempted for 40 days and nights. I have been seasoned by the many tests, afflictions, and things I have suffered. You must be seasoned too as the salt of the earth.
6. Be deployed:
Those who sleep make no impact. You must be deployed to work. You must put your mind and hands to something. You must be given to a purpose and let your life count for something. Apostle Paul made a greater impact by the grace of God, but also by working above all others. He did not take the grace for granted. He was sent and he went forth and faithfully pursued his calling.
7. Be connected:
Jesus Christ is the vine and we are the branches. If you stay in Him, you will bear fruits, be cared for, and bear more fruits. Staying connected to the source of life and to your helpers is the secret to greater impact.
Be blessed, I love you!
