[Zechariah 1:16-21 KJV] “Therefore thus saith the Lord ; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem. [17] Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
[18] Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns. [19] And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. [20] And the Lord shewed me four carpenters.
[21] Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it”.
Today we want to learn about 7 weapons of the waster. The Bible tells us that the cities of the Lord through prosperity and peace will spread and influence nations. We must increase and spread to influence nations but this will happen through prosperity and peace; there are however horns and wasters that gain access to our lives and destinies through iniquity and rebellion. There are wasters, smiths, and horns that arise to fight and waste every generation of men that disregard, rebel, and work against the word of God to them.
The Bible tells us that just as our fathers refused the word and died in captivity, we shall also die when we refuse the word. The Bible tells us in [Zechariah 1:1-6 KJV] that,
“In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, [2] The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers.
[3] Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. [4] Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord .
[5] Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever? [6] But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the Lord of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us”.
The simple secret to dealing with horns is to remember from where you have fallen, and do the first works. The Lord is calling his children to return and be restored. When our fathers rebelled, they died in captivity but the word was fulfilled; the simple secret to deal with smiths, horns, and wasters is to receive and honour the word. If we want to live and not be destroyed, then we must return to the Lord.
Read Isaiah 54:11-17;
“O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. [12] And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. [13] And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord ; and great shall be the peace of thy children. [14] In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
[15] Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. [16] Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. [17] No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord”.
It is important to note that when the enemy gains access to your life, he uses seven key tools: the waster incites;
- Rebellion and unbelief
- Affliction, tempest, and chaos
- Ignorance and dishonesty
- Terror and oppression
- Conspiracy
- Formed weapons
- Aspersions: accusing tongues
May the Lord defend you against every evil power projected against you. May the Lord deliver you from oppression! May a strong east wind arise and attack every horn sent against you! Be delivered from every smith and waster and horn rising for your sake! Stay blessed!
I love you;
