8 Tips to Rise from Financial Insecurity to More than Enough

I want to share simple keynotes with you on how you can move from financial insecurity to more than enough.

We know that God wants each of us to “prosper and be in health even as our souls prosper”, hence the need to understand how to step into the blessing of more than enough.

We would, therefore, want to study the story of the wife of one of the sons of the prophet who died and left his family in debt.

It is important to state that until you walk into the realm of having more than enough, you may not be able to live an honest life towards those who are outside The Faith.

Financial Insecurity

I pray above all things that you will rise from scratching to soaring.

[2 Kings 4:1‭-‬7 KJV] “Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord : and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.”

“And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.”

“Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.”

“So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel”.

“And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.”

From this story, we can understand simple tips to move from financial insecurity to more than enough.

Rising from financial insecurity

Here are 8 quick tips;

  1. Decide on what you can and cannot do. Until you are decided on what you are willing and able to do with passion, you will keep operating below your potential.
  2. Know what you have at home. Many of us are unable to step into more than enough because we don’t know what we have. We are trying to do Accra-Hong Kong-Accra when we don’t have what it takes.
  3. Seek counsel from the right persons, at the right time. The woman went to the prophet and not to any other person.
  4. Be willing to start with what you have, those with you, and where you are.
  5. Don’t borrow anything except vessels
  6. Hide and flourish; learn to shut the door and make your results speak.
  7. Don’t break connection with the prophet.
  8. Trade, keep books, tax, tithe, save, plough back, and live on the rest.
Financial Insecurity

I have no doubt that you can and must rise from financial insecurity to more than enough. If you haven’t already read my book That You Might Be Rich, you can download a copy for free from my website.
