You are the Temple of God

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV)

Today’s Bible Reading:

Psalm 100:1-5

I know you are getting ready to go up to the house of God this early morning for fellowship and worship.

Indeed, God is a spirit and can be worship anywhere but we go up to the house of the Lord to be fed with His word and truth.

You are the temple of God and He dwells in you by His Spirit. We are the tabernacle of God, so worship in the house of God begins from within us.

This is why the psalmist said enter his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise (See Psalm 100:4)

May the Lord ignite your spirit and may you become the temple of God where true worship begins as you come into His presence with joy and praise.

Today’s Prayer

Dear God, Help me to worship You in Spirit and in truth. Save me from myself. Help me to come before You with You in me. Fill us with Your presence as we come up into Your presence in Jesus name. Amen!

Today’s thoughts

Seeing that we are the temples of God, may we possess our vessels in honour.
