Every Man Presses Into It

As we celebrate the diamond jubilee of the great West African nation, Ghana, I had the privilege of speaking to youth below the age twenty years. Then later on in my meditation the Lord began to minister to me through the scriptures.

The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Exhortation

The simple truth remains that nobody would hand over anything worthwhile to you on a silver platter. Prophets will prophesy, preachers will preach, teachers will teach, and pastor will guide; but nobody ever walks the corridors of glory lying on a bed of roses.

The kingdom of God, the power and the glory has been preached up until the days of John the Baptist, and everyone presses in, so you must also press in.

I exhort you to arise and fight forward. Press in and enter. The corridors of glory is not for people taking a leisure walk. The hall of fame is decorated by the blood of bleeding men.

Our churches may remain empty and the kingdom may not get full early enough, if we are waiting for the harvest to walk in. We must arise and work the field of souls. Most of us are multi-talented; most of us can be vocational, so let us be up and doing.

We would not spend our lives on make ups and hair do; neither will we be shabby. Let us arise, boys,  girls, men, women; there is more to life than sex.

Have a vision; aspire for higher heights; aim for God’s best. I don’t need to apologise, though I honour all men and women and professions, it takes more to prepare for one than the other. We should aspire to reach the highest heights.
