Over the years one teaching that is lost from the church is the teaching on Christian suffering. We have lost the truths about the place of suffering with Christ and its contribution to our lifting and promotions.
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me (Mark 8:34 KJV)
The time has come to teach and expound on the role of Christian suffering as we pursue eternal life. Think it not strange when you go through fiery trials (See 1 Peter 4:12).
Trials are a norm of the Christian walk. Enduring suffering and trials;
-
Provokes the Father’s love:
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my (Father John 10:17-18 KJV)
The Father loves those who endure suffering and trials for the sake of the kingdom. We all know that suffering is not good but we face it every day as children of God; that is why the Father loves those who endure hardship for the kingdom’s sake. The Father loves the son because he laid down his life for the world.
-
Releases power:
Enduring afflictions and suffering releases power. The realm of the spirit has deep respect for endurance. Your steadfastness in the face of affliction releases power. As the scriptures reveal those who win laurels achieve mastery through endurance (See 1 Corinthians 9:25).
-
Brings increase of grain:
Except a corn of wheat falls into the ground and die, it abides alone; but when it falls into the ground and die, it brings forth much fruits (John 12:24)
-
Makes us resourceful to others who face the same things:
The Lord allows us to face our own trials so that we might comfort those who are faced with similar trials. Suffering is not pleasant but enduring it is useful.
I don’t know what you may be faced with but I exhort you to hold on and hang in; after you have suffered for a while, the Lord would make you whole (See 1 Peter 5:10)
I suggesting that you should go praying for sufferings and trials because they would come anyway of their own accord.
Many are hurting and bleeding because they are resisting temptation, which is the right things to do. So I pray that the Lord shall deliver you from your afflictions quickly.
There are also many of God children who have voluntarily chosen to sacrifice their comfort and dreams in order to serve humanity for Christ’s sake. May the Lord reward all such richly. And to all of you missionaries who have abandoned the pursuit if riches and wealth to build the kingdom, may you step into the blessings of the Lord, May God bless you richly, Amen!
My heart goes out to people who face death and difficulty simply because they are obeying God. May Heaven remember and come to your rescue quickly in Jesus’ name!
I love you; stay blessed and keep holding on in faith.

So help me God
I am blessed
What a word, Bishop. I’m encouraged. The crown of life is for those who overcome and or endure to the end.
No matter the reason for or it’s form, suffering is never pleasant but enduring it is always useful.
I receive grace to endure every trail, temptation, or suffering in Jesus name .
I will voluntary sacrifice my comfort and dreams in order to serve humanity for christ’s sake so help be God.
May God bless you pastor
Amen
Thank you Bishop for bringing to light the benefits of suffering as a Christian.I have chosen to suffer with Christ to help advance His Kingdom.
