Christianity is a call to walk in a realm higher than nature; it is a call to a supernatural lifestyle. It is living beyond the whims and caprices of humanity. This is a life of faith and declaration or confession. In the realm of the spirit, what you say is what you get. Your words are forerunners into your future. The things you say have a way of recreating your future. People of faith ought to speak by faith.
How then can you speak the right things? Well, what you say is a reflection of what you are full of and abounding with. When the heart is full of nonsense, the mouth will speak nonsense; when the heart is full of the word of God, the mouth will speak the word of God. What fills you determines what you say with your mouth, hence the saying in Matthew 12: 33-37:
“Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”
Your words are powerful, they are not just words. Words are not just sounds but life; by your words you shall be condemned or justified. There is a strong connection between what you say and what fills your life. The things you allow into your heart will determine what you believe and for that matter speak; and these words would justify or condemn you. What is in your heart determines what you say, hence:
Beware what you see and how you hear: faith comes by hearing. What and how you hear will largely determine what you believe. You must allow the word of God to interpret and rule in your life. Romans 10:17 clearly states this point. Be careful what and how you hear.
Beware of what and who you believe: Isaiah 53:1 enquires, who has believed our report? Whose report would you believe? When you believe the report of the Lord, his arm shall be revealed to you. The lord is still speaking and speaking by his servants. Beware whom you believe and what you believe. Many are speaking today but the lord has not sent them; be careful who and what you believe.
Finally, your life in the realm that is above nature is activated by what you declare and do: 2Corinthians 4:15 teaches clearly that the spirit of faith is declaration or confession. When we have the same spirit of faith, our tongues and lips are trained to speak. We must establish the word in our lives.
These are the three simple keys to walking in a realm that is higher than nature: What we feed on, what we believe, and what we speak. There is no doubt that each one of us can walk in that realm if we so wish.
Stay blessed, I love you.
