[1 Corinthians 12:23-26 KJV] “And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. [24] For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: [25] That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. [26] And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it”.
When it comes to the manifestations of the spirit there are two keys principles that govern its distribution: equity and mutual care or benefit.
The Lord knows that all fingers are not equal, life is more difficult for some than others; the Holy Spirit is therefore given as a helper and comforter to give assistance to those who yield to him.
The Bible tells us that we are all members of one body, but we are not the same. We have different needs, abilities and concerns; I believe God will meet us at the point of our needs. I believe that God will meet each of us at the point of our need when we learn to ask him. In the realms of the Spirit, equity is the principle and not equality. We are not equal in the realms of the spirit but God supplies all of our needs according to his riches in glory. The Lord bestows more honour on the parts that are less comely.
The Bible tells us that some members don’t have needs but others do; God will meet us at the point of our needs. God will give great grace to those who need grace; wisdom to those who need wisdom. As we rely on the Holy Spirit, he will give each one of us what it takes to live life to the max. God wants to be our helper; He wants to be our sustainer; you will receive grace enough to maximize your opportunities in life.
The second principle is the principle of mutual care or benefits. The Lord wants us to take care of each other. The lord wants us to be there for one another. The Lord wants us to serve one another. God wants me to serve you and you to serve me. We must be a community and care for each other. This is our time and season.
The Lord gives more grace to the uncomely parts, because the comely parts have no need. I pray that the Lord shall meet you at the point of your need to give you exactly what it will take to maximize your opportunities. Be blessed!
I love you;
