According to the testimony of the Lord, only one thing is needful, and it is to sit at the feet of the Lord and to hear His word. Everything else is not that important. Only one thing matters; to sit and hear the word the Lord.
[Luke 10:38-42 KJV] “Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. [39] And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus‘ feet, and heard his word. [40] But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. [41] And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: [42] But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her”.
I exhort you that if there is only one thing that time will allow you to do, then choose to sit at the Lord’s feet and to hear His word. Everything else can wait, let us spend time to listen to the word. His word is a lamp to our feet, His word is health to our bones and marrow, it is health to our navels and all of our flesh. His word is spirit and life. His word quickens and makes alive.
I pray that each one of us will begin to spend time at the feet of the Lord. Stay at the feet of the word to hear the word. You will be changed into the same image of the glory you behold. Stay blessed!
