I want to speak to you about five ways to activate faith in your life. It is important to state that faith is the evidence of things not seen, and the substance of things hoped for.
[Hebrews 11:1 KJV] “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Faith is, therefore, a tangible work of God in those who trust and hope in His word. We know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
[Romans 10:17 KJV] “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”.
The first step to activating faith in your life is hearing.
1. Hearing
What you hear will shape your beliefs and faith. The word you feed on determines the direction of your life and faith. Romans 10:17 reveals this truth. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The more of the word you hear, the greater your commitment to walk by it, if you so choose. But don’t conform to the pattern of this world, rather, be transformed by the renewing of your mind by the word of God.
2. Speaking or confession:
Confession or speaking is the spirit of faith. The Bible says those who believe speak as Abraham spoke. The spirit of faith is confession. We activate the anointing through speaking and confession of faith.
[2 Corinthians 4:13 KJV] “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
3. Praying:
The third way to activate faith is to pray. The best way to pray is to look into the word of God for solutions to your challenges and present them to God in a petition. Luke 18 teaches that prayer is an evidence of faith.
[Luke 18:6-8 KJV] “And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. [7] And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? [8] I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”
The Bible also teaches in Proverbs 29:8 that “he that turns his ear from the hearing of the Lord, even his prayer is an abomination unto God”.
4. Working:
The fourth secret to activate faith is to work. Faith without works is dead. You must hear the word, speak the word, pray the word, work the word, and wait for its manifestation. Faith must have works in order to be active and alive.
5. Faithful following:
Finally, faith works with patience. Hebrews 6:12 admonishes us to follow those who through faith and patience inherited the promise. You must learn to follow good people if you want to keep your faith alive.
Stay blessed and stay safe!
