I want to talk to you today about desiring and craving for the kingdom of God to come.
[Matthew 6:9-10 KJV] “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven”.
One of the key things you may do to see the kingdom of God come is to pray that it should come. The Lord Jesus taught us to pray that the kingdom of God should come. But beyond praying that the kingdom of God shall come you must also prepare yourself to possess it.
Now, if you are really serious about possessing the kingdom, then you must do the following;
1. Become as a little child:
You must be humble, transparent, playful and forgiving. Children are humble, transparent, and do not bear a grudge. The Bible tells us that the kingdom of heaven belongs to children.
[Matthew 19:14 KJV] “But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven”.
2. Deepen in revelation:
We know that the kingdom of God does not come with observation, it is discerned and seen with spiritual eyes and understanding. I pray that you shall deepen in revelation and understanding. I pray that your eyes will be opened to see the kingdom as it is revealed, amen!
[Luke 17:20 KJV] “And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:”
3. Seek the power of the kingdom:
The Bible teaches us that the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. We must, therefore, strive to possess the power of the kingdom. It is not so much of the diction, but the power. The kingdom of God is power.
[1 Corinthians 4:20 KJV] “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”
4. Be determined to fight any force that wants to take the kingdom by flattery:
In Daniel 11:22-23, we learn that there are powers who want to take the kingdom of God by flattery. They want to possess it through deception and flattery. We must, therefore, be informed to escape.
5. Take the kingdom by force:
The Bible teaches that “since the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent takes it by force”. You can seize the kingdom by force and violence. The kingdom of God is not offered on a silver platter, every man must press into it. You must seize the kingdom by force.
Stay blessed, I love you!
