I want to speak to you today about seven things you need for living.
[Matthew 6:7-13 KJV] “But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do : for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. [8] Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. [9] After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. [10] Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. [11] Give us this day our daily bread. [12] And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. [13] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”
I have no doubt in my mind that you need these things in your life to make life worth the living.
- A relationship with the Father
- The name of the Lord
- The presence of God among us
- The doing of the will of God in the earth
- The supply of daily provision
- Having peace with God and with men
- The leading and deliverance of the Lord
These are 7 fundamental things we should pray and trust God for. These are things we cannot live without. It is impossible to live a genuine Christian life without a healthy relationship with the Father, the hallowing of the name of the Lord, the presence of God, the fulfilment of the will of God, the supply of daily ration, peace with God and with men, and the leading and protection of God. These are key things that must be present to make life worth the living.
These are things we should pray for daily. We should believe God to supply these things and we cannot trade it for anything. This is a guide to daily devotional prayers. I have no doubt that we can live genuine faith lives when these things are present in our lives.
