[John 3:14-15 KJV] “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life“.
If there is one thing that we should desire of God, it is for help that to focus more of Christ than on the crisis. We all face crisis and challenges once in a while. We all face our moments when we feel broken and crushed, but there is a way out. The simple way out is to focus on Christ and not on the crisis. We should be counting on God to help us to focus more on Christ rather than on the crisis. This is one of the important wisdom for living. It is also a major pitfall in life that many have not been able to escape. We tend to focus more on problems rather than on Christ or the anointing.
Those who focus on the crisis and challenges get distracted. The only safe way is to focus on Christ. That is the way to save your heart and mind. That is the only way to stay in the faith without panic. You can and must give this a try.
Many years ago, fiery serpents began to bite and kill many of the Israelites because they murmured against God. The Bible tells us that in their distress, the Lord instructed Moses to make a brazen serpent in the likeness of the fiery serpents and hang it on a tree, that anyone who got bitten would be saved as long as they fixed their eyes on the brass serpent on the tree. We understand that in that same way, many of us are suffering from the sting of spiritual vipers and serpents. We are faced with bites from so many things in life but as Moses lifted up the serpent, so has Christ been lifted up; as long as we can fix our gaze on the cross we will survive the sting and venom of every serpent.
I pray that the Lord will help us to focus more on Christ. Stop focusing your attention on the crisis. The times may be difficult but “Christ in you is the hope of glory”. When you focus on the crisis, you will be tempted to murmur, but when you focus on Christ, you will master the storm. Your gaze must be on Christ and not on the crisis.
Our prayer, therefore, today is for the Lord to help us to focus more on Christ than on the crisis. Remember, you will be changed into the image of whatever you focus on. Focus on Christ!
Prayer points
- Let us lift our voices and begin to thank God for creating a workable solution even before there is the need. Thank God that He sent His Son as a ransom for all, to redeem us from the powers of darkness and from the things that hurt in life.
- Pray that the Lord will forgive us for focussing on our challenges and not on His solution. Pray that He shall forgive our unbelief and purge us from the pride that makes us think that we can save ourselves.
- Pray and decree that from today, your heart and mind shall be stayed on God. Pray that God will touch and help us to focus on the Son who is lifted up and not on anything else. Let the Lord help you focus.
- Say after me! By fire, by blood, by Spirit, I decrees that every opposition and resistance mounted to distract me shall fall for my sake. May the storms of the Lord sweep them away now! We break down distractions to help us focus on Christ and not on crisis!
- Thank the Lord for an answered prayer in the name of Jesus Christ!
Stay blessed, I love you!
