5 Ways to Divine Health

One of the few things that many elderly people regret that they took for granted when they were younger is their health. Do not wait till it is too late before you start striving to take care of it.

[Exodus 15:26 KJV] “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.”

I want to, therefore, teach you five simple things you can do to walk in divine health and be in top health;

  • Read your Scriptures daily
  • Guard your heart with all diligence
  • Eat the right meal at the right time in the right way
  • Stay active
  • Rest well

1. Search and keep the scriptures every day:

Proverbs 4:23 teaches that the word of God is health to the bone and marrow and navel of those who find it. A scripture a day will surely keep the physician away. Those who hide the words of the Lord in their heart stay healthy. The word of God is life and health to your flesh.

[Proverbs 4:20‭-‬27 KJV] “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.”

2. Guard your heart with all diligence:

Nothing affects your health more than the state of your heart. The Bible says “a merry heart does good like medicine…” The state of your heart largely determines the state of your health. The Bible admonishes that we should guard our hearts with all diligence because out of it flows the issues of life. We should all be careful what we allow into our heart. If possible, keep a distance from toxic people and toxic situations. Stay away from people who only turn to you when they need you, and those who show clearly that they don’t need you.

3. Eat the right meal at the right time in the right way:

The third pillar of divine health is what you eat and drink, and how and when you eat and drink. This is because one thing that affects your health is food. You must pay attention to what you eat and drink; how and when you eat it. That is a whole subject to be studied at another time, but remember to eat healthily.

4. Be active:

The fourth pillar or divine health is activeness. The Bible says “through idleness the roof of a house falls through”. Your health may fall when you sit idle. Get involved in gardening, cleaning, working, etc.

[Ecclesiastes 10:17‭-‬19 KJV] “Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness! By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through. A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.”

5. Rest:

The final pillar of health I want to touch on is rest. “The sleep of a labouring man is sweet”. The truth is, where, how, and when you sleep matters a lot. Your sleep pattern affects your health immensely.

[Ecclesiastes 5:12 KJV] “The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep”.

Indeed, your ability to trust the Lord absolutely will help you find rest. There is no better way to a stress-free life than trusting and hoping in the Lord.

[Matthew 11:28 KJV] “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”.

I have no doubt that as we walk in this revelation from this day forward.

Bless you, I love you!
