A gate is a civil structure that restricts or facilitates access to places. Gates can be shut or opened. Much as there are physical gates there is also spiritual gate that restricts or facilitates access to places.
As we wait on the Lord, I pray that any gate set up by the enemy to restrict your movement to be shaken open in the name of Jesus.
It is important to understand that the spiritual gates don’t open on their own accord. They are made to open. It takes four things to open the gates: Praise, Prayer, Obedience, and Decrees.
Remember Paul and Silas in prison? The prison gates were shaken open by the praise and prayer that provoked the presence of God. I have no doubts that our prayers and praise in these 60 days is shaking every prison gates open in the name of Jesus Christ!
I must say that it is one thing to open the gates but another thing to access the gates and stand in the hill of the Lord; the place of promotion. Many of us are not making it because what we earn by prayer, we demolish by our attitude.
Psalm 24:1-8 outlines the master keys to access the gates and stand in the place of promotion. If you want to access the gates that you open by praise, prayer, decrees, and obedience; then;
- Remember that the earth and its fullness are the Lord’s. No man can receive it except it is given to him from above.
- Secondly, you can open and access the gates if you wash your hands and purify your hearts. Motives and attitudes towards work matter a lot. You must do things for the right motives and with the right attitudes.
- Thirdly, don’t lift your soul to vanity. Don’t chase the world nor anything in it. Do not lift your soul to vanity.
- Don’t swindle anyone. Do not make promises you know you won’t keep. Keep the promises you have made even if it hurts now. Remember that people make decisions and take action because of the promises we make to them. Try and keep your promises if you want the blessings of those who seek the Lord.
We speak to gates to be lifted that the king of glory shall enter. May the Lord help us to believe and repent!
[Psalms 24:1-8 KJV] “The earth is the Lord’s , and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.”
“Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord ? or who shall stand in his holy place?”
“He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord , and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.”
“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.”
Stay blessed, I love you
