The optimum or optimal level or state of something is the best level or state that it could achieve. So what amount of prayer and watching is sure to get you results?
Honestly, the optimal level at which prayer gets maximum results is one hour (60 minutes). Just as it is said that a normal adult need between 6 to 8 hours of sleep daily; a normal Christian, need not less than 60 minutes in the presence of God daily.
[Mark 14:37 KJV] “And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?”
Without doubt, we have produced many carnal and weak believers because we have replaced prayer with power. Many of us are just interested in getting solutions and anointing and power, but we are not interested in the process. Many of us are interested in the end results but not in the process of making the power and results and anointing.
I pray that God will bring us back to the place of desiring and wanting to be in His presence. May we love His presence and may we learn to spend ample and optimum time in His presence.
Our Lord Jesus was surprised that they could not tarry with Him for an hour in the darkest moment of His life. Listen, when you pastor is going through the motions of life; your best gift you can give him is
- Stand with him (2 Timothy 4:16-18)
- Pray with him (2 Corinthians 1:6-11)
- Be not ashamed of his suffering (2 Timothy 1:8)
In praying, we must learn to pray for 60 minutes at a go daily. You should be able to wait and watch for 60 minutes. The simple tips to do this include:
- Prepare for your prayer time as a lawyer going to court. Take a pen and a paper and get a prayer list. (See Hosea 14:1-3)
- Depend on the Holy Ghost for help (See Roman’s 8:26)
- Ask in faith (See James 1:6-7)
- Honour and keep the word. (See John 15:7; Psalm 66:18)
- Ask in the name of Jesus; come on the merits of the finished work of Christ on the cross. (See John 14: 13; John 16:23)
- Pray for the right reasons and motive. Don’t ask to be heard nor to strive with a fist of wickedness. (See Luke 18:10-14, Isaiah 58, James 4:3)
- Pray with praise, thanksgiving, singing, supplication, and prophesying and decrees.
Remember to always pray with a watch and an atmosphere creator. Prayer changes things; let us learn to pray.
I love you; Stay blessed …
