I want to exhort you on simple secrets to preserve and revive the glory. I want to talk about how to keep the fire of glory ablaze in the tent. The story of 1 Chronicle 16 teaches about restoring the Ark of Covenant, which is the glory of the people of Israel, to the tents.
It is important to announce that David, after restoring the ark to the tents, led Israel to offer sacrifices, he fed them, appointed prophets, and taught them to both give thanks, seek God, and remember his works.
We can restore and kindle the fire of glory by simply continuing in the following;
1. Offer sacrifices and peace offerings before the Lord:
We can maintain the fire of the glory and the blaze when we learn to offer sacrifices and peace offerings.
[1 Chronicle 16:1-6 KJV] “So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.”
2. Stay under the blessing and feeding of the mandate.
You must bless and feed them; don’t fight and oppress the people. The fire of glory will keep burning when we keep blessing and feeding the people.
We must feed the people on bread (the word), a piece of flesh (The doctrine of perfection and communion), and flagging of wine (Holy Spirit)
“And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord . And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.”
3. Heed to the voice of the trumpets that will be sounding continually before the ark by the appointed priest(symbolizing the art of prophesying):
We can keep the fire of glory burning continually when we learn to prophesy continually before the ark. Listen, the fire of the glory will die out if we don’t learn to speak by inspiration, to both foretell and forth tell.
We must learn to fill the city with prophecy. Each priest must learn to step out into the streets at night and early mornings to declare God’s rhema over the city. Teaching is good, but Jesus Christ both preached and taught. We must not only teach but we must also declare the counsel of God.
“And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord , and to record, and to thank and praise the Lord God of Israel: Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed–edom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals; Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.”
4. To keep the fire of glory ablaze, learn the secret of giving thanks;
Seek the Lord, His strength and face, continually; and remember His wondrous works. We must teach and exhort each other to do the following;
- Give thanks to God
- Call upon His name
- Sing Psalms unto Him
- Talk of His wondrous works
- Glory in His name
- Let our hearts rejoice
- Seek the Lord, His strength, and His face continually
- Remember His wondrous works
[1 Chronicle 16:7-13 KJV] “Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the Lord into the hand of Asaph and his brethren. Give thanks unto the Lord , call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.”
“Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord . Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones”. (Further reference: Psalm 105)
Stay blessed
