What makes up a solid foundation to a great revival of faith in any nation?
I have been thinking and meditating on what must be the most important truth that the church must strive to teach the nations.
It is important to understand that countless things can be taught, but there is one thing that will form the foundation of all teaching.
For instance, in teaching a language, we begin by teaching the alphabet and how they sound. There is no way you can learn to read and write a language when you don’t know the alphabet and how they sound. That is why phonics is important in learning to read and write a language.
In that same way, we must understand what the foundation of religion and Christianity should be.
The foundation to a great revival of faith
[Acts 26:15-18 KJV] “And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;”
“Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me”.
The following are the most important foundation that the church must seek to establish in the nations. These make up a solid foundation to a great revival of faith;
1. There is one God
A nation that believes in God and His real existence has the foundation that would yield godliness. If a nation does not believe that God exists, it is hard to get them to be persuaded about godliness.
A nation that says there is no God is not smart enough to accept His authority. At least, for a start, we must admit that there is God.
2. There is both light and darkness in this world
The most pathetic generation is one that only believes in light and rules out darkness. Inasmuch as I believe light is powerful, I do not rule out the truth that darkness is real and wickedness is also real.
We must strive to get the nations to admit that there is both light and darkness in this world. The nations much admit that darkness is as real as light. Evil is as real as goodness.
3. Satan has power, much as God has power.
Sometimes, in the name of faith and elitism, we overrule and write off Satan’s power. The truth is, Satan is powerful; he has power. We believe God may be more powerful, but satan has power too.
We should not take the power of Satan for granted. We must beware and prepare adequately to face him.
4. God has called and sent men to turn us from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God.
There are men and women called and sent to this assignment. The preacher is central to the propagation of faith. There is no way people can believe except there is a preacher.
Any attempt to ignore any of these truths is too dangerous. You must respect these truths.
Stay blessed
