How to Establish an Altar for the Supernatural Outpouring

[Galatians 3:5 KJV]“He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”

Supernatural Outpouring

One of the most important Christian experiences aside from being born again is the anointing or the baptism or immersion of the Holy Spirit. After believing, one of the most important experiences each one of us must have and anticipate is the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

This is because;

1. By the Arm of flesh shall no man prevail

[2 Chronicles 32:8 KJV]“With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.”

2. By strength shall no man prevail

[1 Samuel 2:9 KJV] “He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.”

3. Without the spirit there are certain truths we cannot receive

[John 16:12‭-‬13 KJV] “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”

In Acts 19, when Apostle Paul found certain disciples at Ephesus; he inquired whether they had received the Holy Spirit since they believed. The apostle expected that everyone who has believed would be guided to receive the Holy Spirit.

It is almost impossible to live an effective Christian life without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We, therefore, want to understand how to catch the anointing. We want to discover how we can build an altar to provoke the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

In the text mentioned above and throughout the new testament, one of the guaranteed ways to receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is through the altar or the platform of listening or hearing. The hearing of faith always precedes the outpouring. You must spend time in the word, studying and listening and speaking.

It was in the midst of hearing that the Holy Ghost fell on Cornelius and his household. The Holy Spirit is given by the hearing of faith. The atmosphere of the word is an atmosphere of the spirit. The Bible teaches that as Apostle Peter spoke about the anointing on Our Lord Jesus Christ; the heavens opened and the Holy Spirit was poured upon them.

Conclusion

I will exhort that if you want to be anointed, then you must create and stay in an atmosphere of the word. You must create and stay in an atmosphere of hearing. You must spend more time soaking in the word. Let us learn to sit at the feet of teachers.
