[Deuteronomy 10:12-13 KJV] “And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord , and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?”
[Deuteronomy 13:4 KJV] “Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.”
Serving the Lord is one of the 5 things that God require of Israel and all those who have partaken of the commonwealth of Israel.
The 5 things which the Lord require of us are to: Fear, Follow, Love, Serve, and Obey him. God wants us to do these things that he will release his blessings for abundant living upon us.
I want to speak to you today about why it is a good thing to serve the Lord. It is a good thing to serve the Lord and no man ever regrets such a decision. You will never regret giving yourself to serve the Lord.
Why?
Because those who serve the Lord in truth and sincerity:
1. Earn extra income:
[John 4:36 KJV] “And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.”
2. Recieve the authority to bind kings and nobles with fetters of iron:
[Psalms 149:5-9 KJV] “Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;”
“To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.”
3. Have special protection and immunity from external aggression:
[Psalms 105:12-15 KJV] “When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it. When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;”
“He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”
4. Are always on the mind of God. God is not unrighteous to forget your Labour of love
[Hebrews 6:10 KJV] “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
5. In missions will shine as stars forever and ever
[Daniel 12:3 KJV] “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”
Conclusion
I have no doubt that this is the time to decide to serve the Lord. Every one of us can serve the Lord in the ministry of reconciliation preaching the word of reconciliation.
You can serve directly in missions or serve at the base. The base is the church, and the missions field is where the action takes place. The mission field or the community is the place where we fight using the sword of the spirit in our mouth to fight for the souls.
This is the time to join the chariots and join the fight. Your labour in the Lord shall not be in vain. Join the chariot and turn a soul to righteousness; you shall shine like a star if you do. You will prosper and receive extra income supernaturally.
Arise! you can share your faith; your can share your testimony or a testimony; you can share the word; you can preach the gospel; you can even become a missionary to the virtual or online world. This is also a real world. You can be a Seed for Today influencer. You can start a ministry that shares the seed, online streams, videos, and other resources materials of the church.
We all have 168 hours in a week. Like Apostle Paul, we can decide to join the chariots of soul winning, pray earnestly for souls, plan to manage your time, go to and rise early from bed, groom and style, eat, go to work, attend services, travel to visit or follow-up, rest well, and pray. This is the cycle. Just plan your time and you can serve.
It is such a great thing to serve the Lord. Join and let us serve the Lord. He will bless and lift us. Your labour shall never be in vain.
Stay blessed
