[Daniel 10:1-3, 5-14 KJV] “In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.”
“In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: his body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.”
“And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground. And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands”
“And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.”
“Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days:”
“but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days“
PUSH because though God answers prayers, He does so in His way and time. This is called the sovereign will of God. You must discover and get ready for the timing of the Lord; we must wait for Him and not He for us.
PUSH because the supreme importance of prayer is not the answers but its impact on your spirit. PUSH because the process gets you ready for the next phase of your life. PUSH because the process of prayer builds you. No athlete pays someone to train for him. The training is part of the contest. Though the real test is the contest, your training is the real deal. It is the build-up to the D-day. It is unwise, silly, and stupid to pay people to train for you.
PUSH to access the deep realms of knowledge. Prayer gives you access to deeper realms of knowledge, revelations, and understanding. When we pray, God reveals great and mighty mysteries to us (See Jeremiah 33:3).
PUSH because most often God is working even when it seems nothing is happening. In the book of Daniel, the angel told Daniel that he was sent on the very first day, Daniel set his heart to seek God. Most often than not the answers are released on the first day, but sometimes our sins and trespasses and curses in our lives give demons the audacity to withstand the angels that are bringing the answers. Our continual supplication and intercession and prayer empower our helpers in the spirit realm to break through (See Daniel 10 11-14).
PUSH because your peace depends on it in times of crisis and panic (See Philippians 4:6-7). When you learn to pray; rather than being anxious, the peace of God that surpasses understanding will keep your heart and mind.
PUSH because you get to know God when you spend time in prayer. The more you spend time in prayer, the more you get to know Him.
PUSH because you are transform and impact when you wait in His presence. Moses returned shining like the sun. His very body was changed and transfigured. His presence changes our person. You become anointed and empowered. In Luke 4, the Lord returned from the wilderness in the Spirit’s power and might to do greater works. His presence transfigures our person. Tarry long in His presence.
Listen, I do not doubt in my mind that God will speedily avenge His children that call upon Him day and night. He will not allow the sceptre of the wicked to remain on the land allotted to the righteous. You will never regret that you spent time in prayer.
Stay blessed
