Creating an Atmosphere for Miracles

[Acts 2:37‭-‬43‭, ‬45‭-‬47 KJV] “Now when they heard this , they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

“And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers”

“And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men , as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

The miraculous and the supernatural is some of the key inputs that will make your life effective and efficient. There will always come a time when you will need the manifestation of the supernatural and mighty hand of God in your life in a special way.

We can create an atmosphere in which the supernatural will be so natural. We can create an atmosphere for miracles. We can build a community where the supernatural occurs so naturally and easily.

The atmosphere for miracles is an atmosphere of faith:

To create the atmosphere of miracles, we must create an atmosphere where everyone can hear by the hearing of faith and by the word of God. Galatians 3:5 teaches that God works miracles by the hearing of faith. We must teach the word and speak the language of faith.

The atmosphere of miracles is one of expectation:

The difference between believing and expecting is one is passive and the other is active. It is one thing to believe God heals the sick but it an entirely new level to expect that God is helping you.

The atmosphere for miracles is an atmosphere of speaking to ourselves in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs:

We create life in an atmosphere of worship and of praise and singing and of making melodies in our hearts to God.

[Ephesians 5:18‭-‬21 KJV]“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”

The atmosphere of miracles is an atmosphere of gratitude and thanksgiving:

We must train our hearts and minds to be grateful for little mercies and grace. We must practice gratitude and thanksgiving. The giving of thanks is one of the greatest church cultures that we must intentionally create. We ought to learn how to return all the glory to the Lord by testifying of the His goodness. We must always remember to share the testimony of God with the brethren and with the world.

Our testimony and gratitude weakens the devil and insulates us against forgetting and disloyalty. When we intentionally decide to return and to testify; we create the atmosphere of faith and release God to do more.

The atmosphere of miracles is the atmosphere of submission and humility:

The Lord resist the proud and gives grace to the humble and the submitted. Our humility is key to releasing the supernatural and the miraculous! Let us learn to be submitted one to another!

The atmosphere of miracles is one of receiving the word with gladness:

Our attitude towards the word of God that is preached is so important in creating the atmosphere of miracles. When the early church gladly received the word, God began to move among them.
