[Isaiah 64:1-4 NLT] “Oh, that you would burst from the heavens and come down! How the mountains would quake in your presence! As fire causes wood to burn and water to boil, your coming would make the nations tremble.”
“Then your enemies would learn the reason for your fame! When you came down long ago, you did awesome deeds beyond our highest expectations.”
“And oh, how the mountains quaked! For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!”
I want to speak on the theme; open heaven. I believe that when God gives a message, He also gathers the people who must hear it, and confirms it when we speak it. I have no doubt that you are reading this message because you have been summoned by His divine will and power to hear and be blessed by this Word. I pray that you will not miss your season and time, Amen!
I also believe and teach everywhere I go that every message must both be preached and heard in the content and context within which it was delivered. It is one thing to hear what I said, but an entirely different level to understand why I said it that way. Let us pay attention to content and context.
Isaiah 64, which happens to be our anchor Scripture is revealing what will happen if God would come down from an open heaven right now! The prophet reveals that though the mountain will melt and the wicked will be consumed; we will not be spared either, because we have not walked in His ways and commands. Isaiah 64 is teaching that the presence of the Lord is terrible and fearful. The prophet is revealing that the mountains melt at His presence!
I have no doubt that if the heavens shall open over us, all our pain, all our sicknesses, all our problems, all our limitation will melt and vanish as stubble before fire! I pray that the heaven will open over us, Amen!
The truth, however, is that Isaiah 64, as it stands now, is just wishful thinking. Honestly, God does not answer to wishful thinking; He answers to your acts of faith. If we desire an open heaven, then we must be ready to do what opens the heavens.
As a pastor myself, I want to teach you the keys to open heaven for restoration, and prosperity. You know the genuine desire of every pastor is to hear that his children are walking in the truth, even in his absence. Every genuine pastor wishes that his children who walk in the truth stay in health, prosper, and faithfully minister to both the brethren and strangers. (See 3 John1:2-4)
The keys to health and restoration are Humility, Prayer, Repentance, and Waiting.
2 Chronicles 7:14 teaches that if the people who are called by the name of the Lord shall humble themselves, pray, turn from their wicked ways, and seek the face of the Lord; then He will hear from heaven and answers their prayers. He will then heal their lands even if the heavens are shut.
These are the master keys to open heaven for healing and restoration. When we learn to humble ourselves, pray, turn from our wicked ways, and wait on God; then God will answer and heal our lands. Isaiah 64:4 teaches that God works for those who wait on Him.
The master keys to open heaven for prosperity are a Right heart, meditating on the word of God day and night, being diligent at work, and tithing.
The Bible teaches that “the eyes of the Lord are moving to and fro; seeking the man whose heart is right before him; that he may show himself strong on his behalf”
We know also that those who avoid the seat, ways and counsel of the wicked, scorners, and the ungodly, but rather meditate on the Word day and night prosper. They bear fruit in their season. They are not afraid of drought. (See Psalm 1:1-3)
I know that the hand of the diligent shall bear rule. When we learn to work diligently, we will rule.
Finally, when we bring our tithes and offerings God opens heaven and pours His blessings upon us.
Stay blessed!
