[John 4:23-24 KJV] “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth”
I believe the church and for that matter, the believer will obtain greater results when we learn to worship in truth and in spirit from a pure heart.
In truth means being authentic. Praying when it is praying; attending the prayer meeting because you want to pray not to impress anybody or to represent. Knowing the value of prayer and making up your mind to pray. It is strange when many of us are waiting to be told when and where to pray.
In spirit means to do it voluntarily, by a force that pushes you from within not from outside. I drunk man is pushed from within and not from without. You must be drive by a force or power that is at work in you!
God is looking for worshippers that worship in truth and in spirit. Listen, until you get to that point, you will never have the attention of God. God is seeking a people whose heart is right and worship Him in truth and in spirit. These are the fundamental requirements to command heavens attention.
We are admonished to align with those that call upon God out of a pure heart.
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22 KJV
Have you taken time to read the story of Asa?
[2 Chronicles 16:7-10 KJV] “And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.”
“Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand. For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.”
“Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.”
Stop wondering why nothing is moving? The answers are written on the wall; we are not worshipping in truth and in spirit out of a pure heart. If there is no service would you have spent the evening praying? If there was no service would you be reading your Bible or watching one of our online services on YouTube? Many of the things we do are eye service and that is why we are not getting results.
Stay blessed
