[Ephesians 2:4-7 KJV] “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)”
“and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus”
So many people are ignorant of the realities of the new birth. What you don’t know will keep you from where you ought to get to. Many are saved but do not understand what it means to believe in Christ and be saved.
Apostle Paul took his time to teach the church what we have gotten and what it should mean to us. He wrote teaching the church that there are 4 key things God has done for us:
- God has loved us even when we were dead in sin
- God has quickened us together with Christ
- God has raised and elevated us; He did not just love and quicken us, He has raised us too.
- God has made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ
This is the good news; that we who were no people have both been loved and quickened; and also raised and made to sit in heavenly places.
Our levels have changed. We are not just free from sin and damnation but have been quickened, promoted and settle. This is the truth that must shape your thinking.
As you go through this day, tell yourself;
- I may have been a sinner and dead in trespass but I am loved. God loves me and I know it!
- I am quickened! I am no longer dead in sin! I am alive to righteousness! I am quickened!
- I am promoted and settled! I sit in heavenly places. I am seated in Christ! I am untouchable. I sit among the stars of God! I am exalted and elevated. I can not be oppressed and suppressed anymore!
These are the truths that must shape your thinking and attitude. You should not walk with your head bowed down anymore. God has worked and prepared you. You are blessed!
