[1 Peter 1:7 KJV] “that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:”
There is no naturally occurring element or substance on earth that can destroy gold at the molecular level. As of now, gold is indestructible. Period!
If anything can destroy gold, then perhaps something can destroy your faith. Your faith is, in fact, more precious than gold; that is to say that even if there is something that can destroy gold; that thing cannot destroy your faith.
When you put gold through fire, pressure or chemicals; it will remain gold at the molecular level. The hotter the heat, the purer and more glorious your faith becomes.
There is no better way to try faith, except by fire. When faith is tried by fire it comes out more pure. The most trustworthy faith is the one that endures the fire and pressure.
[Revelation 3:18 KJV] “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see”
Do you remember when King Nebuchadnezzar threatened to cast the three Hebrew boys into the fire? The boys did not feel threatened because they understand certain things. They knew whom they had believed.
Remember, the more you know by revelation, the greater your faith! They knew whose they had believed!
They knew that;
- The God they serve is a consuming fire and He answers by fire when the sacrifice is right.
- As servants of God, they were made flaming fire. You were baptised with fire. You were made by being immersed in fire!
- You are purged by fire
- Your standards must be things tried by fire
- Your faith is like gold, the grater the heat it endures the more glorious it becomes
[Hebrews 12:28-29 KJV] “Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for our God is a consuming fire”
[1 Kings 18:24 KJV] “and call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken”
“And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, And his ministers a flame of fire.”
