Today’s message is on the limiting factors that confront your life, and how to deal with them.
[Exodus 13:17-18 KJV] “And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: but God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.”
We know that a journey between Egypt and the promised land which was to take just about 40 days took them over 40 years. It took over 40 years because of certain limiting factors; we want to spend time and deal with some of these limiting factors that confront us too.
The Limiting Factors
These limiting factors are:
- The mixed multitude
- Their carnal cravings
- Their addiction to Egypt
- Their fear of war
- Their quest to be like everyone else
These are the factors that delayed the manifestation of the promise.
The mixed multitudes are people, mainly merchants who come along because they have something to sell. In the building and planting of any vision, there are people who come around because they think they can have good business. These people are not there to help your purpose but around to sell a product. I speak against the influence of the midst multitude in your life.
The second limiting factor is your carnal cravings. The seeds that fall among thorns get choked by barren. Israel was trapped and you shall be trapped by your anxiety, care, lust, pride, and deceits. You can arrive home faster when you deal with the thorns.
The third limiting factor is our addictions to the past that tries to choke the future. Israel was missing the garlic and onions and cucumber of Egpyt when God had served them food of angels. Many of us are not going far because of a soul tie with our past. I prophesy the break of that soul tie and liberate you from the past.
The fourth limiting factor to deal with is the fear of war. Many are at the same point because they are afraid to fight the good fight of faith. We must be willing and ready to stand up and fight the good fight of faith. Arise and act gallantly as we advance to throw down the towers of evil and wickedness.
The fifth limiting factor to deal with in prayer is the quest to be like everyone else and/or the pressure to submit to peer pressure. Israel failed many times because they wanted to be like everyone else. They wanted a god, a king, and food like all the nations; and that is why they failed.
May the Lord help you to deal with these things in prayer.
Stay blessed!
