[Philippians 3:12-17 KJV]“Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.”
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, “
“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.”
“Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample”.
The Scriptures teach that God has thought about us to bring us to an expected end. God’s thought about us is good and yea and amen! He will bring us to an expected end. What then is the secret to advance towards the end faster and efficiently. The simple secret includes;
- Knowing which end or mark you must attain. You must know the goal.
- Admitting that you have not arrived. Many people stop growing because they are deceived into thinking that they have arrived.
- Forgetting those things which are behind; forget about the good, the bad, and the ugly.
- Reaching forth toward the mark of His higher calling. We are not running out own race; we are running his race and must meet his mark, God’s mark.
- Pressing forward with passion and fortitude. We must press on and press in to win. This is how you advance faster.
