Don’t take a leap!

[Acts 1:7‭-‬9 KJV] “And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.”

Don’t take a leap in life; there is a lot of power in little attainable steps. It is better to take little attainable steps towards a full impact than to try to take a leap.

We have already discussed that there are three dimensions to church growth; to grow in numbers, in capacity, and influence. The Lord Jesus, in Acts 1:8, teaches the progression of growth. You should not be waiting to get resources before you do missions. We work the fields of soul, we do this together. “One is off to foreign soils to work the distant lands; another anchors close to home to hold the neighbours’ hands.” We are together in this.

There are four key steps to international missions; these are;

Start from Jerusalem
Then to Judea
Continue to Samaria and
To the uttermost parts of the world

Jerusalem

Your Jerusalem is your home or the base of your ministry. There is always a place God is likely to lead you to to start a church or ministry. That is your Jerusalem; where you are based and started from is your Jerusalem. It is however important to note that Jerusalem is a city. Perhaps the biggest city of the Jews. It’s easier to reach Jukwa from Cape coast than to reach Cape coast from Jukwa.
