[Acts 14:21-23 KJV] “And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.“
Every outreach must end with a decision and committment to continue steadfastly in prayer, doctrine, fellowship, giving, and serving. This is exactly what your converts must sign up for. It is as important as the decision to believe on Jesus Christ. Always bring you hearers to that place where they decide to continue no matter what in prayer, in the doctrine, in fellowship, in giving, and in serving. This is what our converts must decide to do. This is the only way they can stay connected!
In following them up there are a few things you can do to help;
- Pray for and with them.
- Call and visit them from time to time at home or in their work places to see how they are doing.
- Send them helpful links that can help them grow.
- Meet their physical and social needs. Be there with them when its their birthday they, when they are bereaved, when they are marrying, dedicating children, graduating, etc.
- Counsel and teach them.
Stay blessed!
