[1 Peter 5:8-9 KJV] “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.“
An adversary is a person that taunts, opposes, and accuses you. If you have been wondering why life is so difficult, then remember, it is because of the presence of the adversary. The Bible informs us that he is wandering and roaring like a lion, seeking who he might devour. The Appostle went further to teach that the most effective way to deal with the adversary is to resist him. You must arise and resist him with steadfastness and faith!
- Father, help me to think with sober thoughts and to be vigilant. Let nothing surprise me. Let me know and find my way around in the name of Jesus!
- Pray that the Lord will make you steadfast. Pray for strength to stand strong and keep pressing forward.
- Pray for grace to resist and withstand!
Stay blessed
