One of the many reasons why people don’t do well in the faith and in missions is the fact that many are not spiritual. Many are performing abysmally because they are intellectually dishonest. You must strive to be spiritual and not ignorant.
[1 Corinthians 14:37-38 KJV] “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.“
The truth is, when man fell, we fell from being God-conscious to being self-conscious. Before the fall, we were aware of the presence of God. Before the fall, man was naked but not ashamed. Man was clothed with the glory of God and he was aware, but after the fall, we lost the glory and became self-conscious. Many of us are more aware of who we are than who God in us is. That is why many are not doing well.
“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”
“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:12-16 KJV)
I believe that we will do well when we come to that place where we are God-conscious rather than being self-conscious. We must pray to become God conscious. If you really desire and are willing, you can pray and have many things happen for you.
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.” (Mark 11:22-26 KJV)
Though we must pray for answers, I believe there is a higher realm where we must come to and spend time in prayer, just to be;
- God-conscious; I want us to pray until we become literally aware ofvthe real presence of God. In Hebrews 11:27, we understand that Moses qas able to do more and withstand more things because he saw the invisible God. When you see and become aware of the invisible God, you will take on and do more for God and destiny.
- Edified; “He that prays in an unknown tongue edifies himself”. We must sometimes just gather to pray to become stronger spiritually.
- Enlightened; When we pray, we see unsearchable things. When you pray your eyes are enlightened. We must gather to pray just to become sharper spiritually.
- Empowered; When the Lord spent 40 days and nights in the wilderness, he returned in the spirits power. Let us find time to pray until we are empowered for exploits.
Let us arise and pray for greater God-consciousness. I pray that you will be spiritual and relate more with God. Bless you
Confession
I am spiritual! I am conscious of God in my life. I am not carnal. I am God conscious. I know my God and He is manifest in my life! I refuse to be an ignorant person!
Amen!
